Our services and treatments for cats

Your cat deserves the best in terms of health and care. At A-Vet Veterinærklinikk, we have extensive experience in treating cats. Everything from routine examinations and common injuries, to more advanced diseases that require specialized treatments. Our vets focus on quality and care, ensuring that your cat's well-being always comes first. We understand how important it is for you as an owner to feel safe. That is why we take the time to answer all your questions and give you the advice you need before, during and after any procedure. We are here for you through all phases of your cat's life, from the playful and curious kitten to the experienced senior cat.

Dental treatment for cats

Good dental health is of great importance regardless of the cat's age, as dental diseases are very common. We offer professional dental treatment for cats and carry out a full oral examination (dental examination). In this way, you can ensure that your cat receives the correct treatment and follow-up for gingivitis, periodontitis and tooth resorption (TR - previously called FORL).

Vaccination of cats

Vaccinating your four-legged friend is a simple way to prevent serious infectious diseases. Here you can vaccinate the cat according to a standard basic vaccination programme. This protects against feline distemper and cat flu and is recommended for all cats. We also offer additional vaccinations if you are traveling abroad with the cat.

X-ray and ultrasound in cats

We carry out accurate X-ray and ultrasound examinations of cats to diagnose any health problems. Diagnostic imaging is an important aid if you suspect fractures, or disorders associated with the heart, chest and abdominal organs, as well as a useful tool for pregnancy examinations.

Castration of a cat

Neutering the cat is a routine operation, and an important procedure if it is not to be used in breeding. Spaying is important to avoid unwanted kittens, but also has many other benefits. For neutering, your kitten should be at least 4 months old.
