Our veterinary clinic has been taking care of the animals in Larvik for more than 15 years. Since A-Vet was established in 2004, we have focused on developing knowledge through continuing education and course participation of our skilled veterinarians. Together with ongoing investments in modern equipment for the examination and treatment of pets and sports animals, we have thus been able to ensure high quality veterinary services and service.

Specialised expertise in eye diseases and eye surgery

Elisabeth is a certified oph thalmologist with expertise in eye diseases and eye surgery. She performs patella examinations and is an approved patella certificate issuer. Elisabeth is also an approved heart certificate iss uer for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.

A-Vet is more than just your local veterinarian - we also receive referrals from other clinics throughout the county. In the coming years, we will continue to develop professionally at the veterinary clinic, as well as modernise the physical framework that makes up the busy everyday life at one of Vestfold's most modern veterinary clinics.

  • We were previously TUD certified under the auspices of the Norwegian Veterinary Association, a scheme that ceased as of 1 May 2022. We are now certified according to. The Norwegian Veterinary Association's new certification scheme, which is based on ISO 9001: 2015 for Quality Management and Norwegian regulatory requirements for clinic operations. We were certified in December 2022 as the first clinic in Vestfold, Buskerud and Telemark and currently the only clinic.

  • During anaesthesia, we aim to reduce the risk of complications to a minimum by using skilled anaesthetic nurses and advanced monitoring equipment.
  • We have daytime stabling for time-consuming examinations and treatment. This arrangement is resource-intensive, but provides great peace of mind for our 2- and 4-legged customers.
